I'm near the finish line!
My baby's doing fine so far, and she's now a hefty 7.8 pounds! I wonder if I can still deliver her normally, considering that my cervix is not even close to dilating yet, and the baby keeps getting bigger and bigger every week.
Although I'm still optimistic that I won't see a scalpel anywhere near my abdominal area, I'm also preparing myself for the fact that I might get a C-section because of what's happening (or not happening) with my cervix.
Upon my doctor's advice, I took eveprim for a week. This drug, according to my doc, might help the cervix ripen and dilate, but it didn't work on me. I also walk everyday, but still, the cervix won't open. So a C-section delivery for me is really more likely right now. I'm so scared of the idea that I might go through a major operation (C-section), but thinking about my baby makes me feel better instantly.
I want to see her already!
