I have to say, being pregnant is the best thing to ever happen to me. Imagine, I'm carrying a new life in me -- my spawn -- and it's a girl! (As far as my OB GYN can tell). Everytime I feel a punch or kick from my baby, I just feel so happy, but there are a couple of weird things associated with pregnancy. Here are some of them:
- Pregnancy bumps - They're not pimples, they're not pigsa, they're just plain nasty, and they grow on your legs, without no reason. I know that they have no reason because I'm practically germ free. I take a bath like two or three times a day, and I make sure I don't acquire any germs from anywhere, because God forbid, my child might catch them, but even if I've taken all these precautions, I still find these weird bumps on my legs. I don't know if they're caused by my raging hormones or what. I read from my book "What to Expect When Expecting" that it's normal to expect stuff like this to happen. They disappear after a few days anyway. So I guess it's ok.
- Skin On Skin Rubbing - Yes, the weird sensation of feeling your own skin rub against your own skin will start any time between your fifth month to your sixth month depending on how huge your belly has become. This is especially uncomfortable especially if you are fond of slouching, imagine having the skin from your breasts touch the skin on your belly... well, it's just plain unpleasant and weird.
- Stretch Marks - I've never seen purple stretch marks in my life. And now they're on my belly. People say they disappear over time, but I highly doubt it. I've accepted it nonetheless. They're like, my battle scars.
- Darkened Skin - I really really really hate looking at my arm pits. They have turned pitch black. Well, I'm exaggerating, but they really look so dark. After giving birth, I know they'll go back to normal, but right now I just don't feel like wearing sleeveless clothes any time soon, no matter how hot it gets. They're just so dark.
